A Champion's Journey
Born in Bacabal, Maranhão, Frederico Castro has emerged as one of Brazil's premier butterfly specialists, representing his country with distinction in international competitions.
An athlete with notable international recognition, Frederico has won 4 World Cup medals (silver in Beijing, silver and gold in Berlin, and bronze in Dubai), 23 medals in Brazilian Championships, and holds records in competitions in Germany, United States, Italy, and Chile. His journey also includes 15 medals in the Pacific Cup.
Beyond his personal achievements, Frederico is passionate about developing swimming talent in Brazil. This led him to establish the Frederico Castro Aquatic Center and the Braçada Olímpica Project, where he personally mentors promising young swimmers with the mission of encouraging and promoting the practice and development of Brazilian swimming.
World Championships
